"CHARRED WOODLAND"
The Elephant fire of 2018 scorched a large forested region in BC. We visited the area the next summer and saw growth coming back everywhere; grasses, flowers, berries and so many pollinating insects were in the air. It was heartwarming to see the rejuvenation of nature. This painting asked for a different method to express the charred remains and new growth.
