Mairi is in nature for long periods painting the hidden side of life, not merely the husk of things. Stripped away is the surface appearance - the skin so to speak - revealing energy beneath and within that animates it.These artworks are what the energy reveal what the energy looks like. It is always there, and viewers always feel it, but are often unaware of how it ‘looks’. Look closely and the recognizable may be revealed. |
